| Les
Sirènes
– sopranos Kathryn Mueller and Kristen Watson, with harpsichordist
Michael Sponseller – interpret the passionate and sensual music of the
French Baroque. Their repertoire includes sacred and secular works by François
Couperin and Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The centerpiece of the program is
Couperin’s Troisième Leçon de Ténèbres Pour le Mercredi Saint,
an exquisite setting of the Lamentations of Jeremiah, composed in 1714 for
the abbey of Longchamps. The members of Les Sirènes are young stars in
the early music world, with solo careers spanning the U.S., Europe, and
Asia. |

“Ms. Mueller and Ms.
Watson have beautifully trained voices, that blend very well.
I'm extremely glad I bought a ticket to this event…”
